It focuses on understanding how new technologies can be used to launch new services that will increase revenue streams and how these need to be marketed. The workshop covers common mistakes made and how to avoid these. The participants learn why and how teamwork between the various technical and non-technical departments of a Telco is so critically important for these increased revenue flows to happen.
- Decreasing Your Costs with Smarter Workflows (day 4)
A 1-day workshop, for all Telco professionals, aimed at understanding how operating costs can be substantially reduced by implementing smarter practices. The participants learn how to identify unnecessary costs and how to remove the root cause of these costs in a simple and inexpensive manner.

Henry Dijkstra - Founder & Technical Director Pulse Telecom
Barbara Dijkstra - Co-owner & Account Executive Pulse Telecom
Henry & Barbara Dijkstra - from Pulse Telecom NZ - have a passion for technology, a passion for foreign cultures and a passion to share their knowledge and experiences. Since 1980, Henry has been involved in telecommunications as an engineer, a consultant and a technical project manager, working for both operators and vendors.
In 1992, Henry’s passion for foreign cultures lead him to accept new challenges abroad and this started his international career in telecommunications. Together with his wife, Barbara, Henry has lived and worked in 28 countries in Asia, Europe, the Middle East, Caribbean, Africa and the Pacific. The majority of these countries have been developing nations, in which Henry has held the roles of technical project manager and a subject matter expert. He moved across most of the technology groups found within the fixed and mobile network space especially within the areas of LTE, 3G, FTTX, IP, IN, Billing, VAS, satellite and transmission.
Henry holds a New Zealand and a Dutch passport and speaks English, Dutch and German. He is a keen videographer. Barbara holds a New Zealand passport and is Pulse Telecom's Account Executive. Both Henry and Barbara have attended numerous cultural and business awareness courses in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
Anthony Rhuggenaath Founder & CEO Okinawa Consulting NV
After acquiring his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechatronics (The Netherlands) and serving a couple of years with the Royal Dutch Marines, Anthony returned to his native island Curaçao and started out as a software developer for BearingPoint Caribbean (former KPMG Information Technology). A seasoned IT professional, served in many roles deploying numerous projects for the government, semi-governmental institutions and the private sector, was a member of the telecommunications work group for the E-commerce Platform initiative, and was in charge of the datacenter operations of the Curaçao government prior to starting his life as an entrepreneur.
Since founding Okinawa Consulting in 2008 he completed several interim assignments in CIO and Project Management positions in the gaming and financial industry, and shocked the local video security market by introducing advanced video storage and mega-pixel technology to the island (way back ;). By forming strategic alliances with both local and international partners he expanded his network, and is currently actively involved in the deployment of several projects in the physical security, hospitality, e-commerce and digital marketing space.
His latest passions: IoT and Hotelier!ONE.
